Dear friends of Poodle Club Bulgaria,
It is our great pleasure to invite you to our Third Annual Specialty Club Show!
The event will take place on 3 October 2026 at Malinova Dolina Sport Complex in Sofia, Bulgaria. For the third year in a row, we want to bring together beautiful Poodles, breeders, exhibitors, friends and enthusiasts of the breed and turn the day into much more than just a dog show – a true celebration of the Poodle.
This year, we are delighted to welcome as our judge Jes Breinholt Carlsen from Denmark – a long-time Poodle breeder and exhibitor, the man behind Brei-Ca’s Poodles, and an FCI judge for the breed.
Conditions of Entry:
- Only dogs with valid FCI-recognized pedigrees may participate.
- All dogs with export pedigrees issued for Bulgaria must be registered in the BNFC Stud Book.
Entries are submitted online using the registration form, which you will find at the beginning and at the end of this page.

- Junior, Intermediate, Open and Champion classes: €40
- Minor Puppy, Puppy and Veteran classes: €35
For non-members:
- Junior, Intermediate, Open and Champion classes: €60
- Minor Puppy, Puppy and Veteran classes: €55

Meet Our Judge – Jes Breinholt Carlsen
It is our pleasure to introduce Jes Breinholt Carlsen from Denmark – a long-time Poodle breeder and exhibitor and an FCI judge for the breed.
Jes has devoted decades to the Poodle. Under the kennel name Brei-Ca’s Poodles, he has developed his breeding programme in Denmark with a strong focus on breed type, health, sound construction, excellent temperament and movement. In a presentation marking his first 25 years with the breed, Brei-Ca’s already reported impressive results that clearly demonstrated the consistency and scale of his breeding work.
Jes was the first breeder in Denmark to breed Champions in all four Poodle varieties, as well as the first and, at that time, only breeder to have bred a “Breed Winner of the Year” in each of the four varieties in Denmark.
The statistics achieved by Brei-Ca’s are equally impressive. According to the kennel’s published presentation, 21.3% of all puppies bred by Brei-Ca’s became Champions, while 50 Champions were bred or owned by Brei-Ca’s Poodles. Dogs from the kennel also achieved 15 Best in Show (BIS) wins.
Over the years, Jes has actively shown his dogs both in Denmark and on the international show scene. He has also participated in the prestigious Poodle Club of America National Specialty, and his achievements as a breeder and exhibitor include several FCI World Winner titles.
His professional journey with the breed has also included working at a show kennel in the United States – an experience that further broadened his knowledge of Poodle breeding, preparation and presentation.
Jes has served as a Board Member of the Danish Poodle Club and as Chairman of its Breeding Committee, taking an active role in matters related to the development, health and responsible breeding of the Poodle.
Behind his work as a judge stand not only extensive theoretical knowledge, but decades of practical experience in breeding and in the show ring. His approach to the Poodle is built around breed type, balance, anatomy, movement, coat quality, temperament and overall breed presence.
It is a true pleasure for Poodle Club Bulgaria to welcome Jes Breinholt Carlsen to Bulgaria on 3 October 2026. We are very much looking forward to his assessment of the Poodles entering the ring at this year’s Specialty Club Show.

At our shows, we do not only watch Poodles, talk about Poodles and compete in the ring. We also make time to sit down together, enjoy some food and drinks and simply spend time in good company. Everyone brings a little something to share with the others, and this is exactly what makes the day feel even warmer and friendlier.

We have created a wonderful tradition – every year, the Poodle Club Bulgaria Specialty Show brings together not only beautiful dogs, but also a growing number of people for whom the Poodle is a true passion.
And this year, once again, we want to have a fantastic day, a fantastic show and a fantastic time together.
