We are pleased to invite you to our second annual Club show.
The event will take place on October 18, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Malinova Dolina Sport Complex in Sofia, and we hope to create a true celebration of the breed and all the people dedicated to it!
This year we have the honor to welcome as judge the respected Italian Poodle breeder – Lorena Merati, SAMARCANDA kennel. Her long-standing professional approach and her passion for the breed should inspire every participant.
Conditions for participation:
Only dogs with valid FCI pedigrees are admitted.
Entry is online via the form you will find at the beginning and at the end of this page.
You must first pay the entry fee(s) for all dogs you will be entering, then complete the form with your details to attach the payment order.

In Junior, Intermediate, Open and Champion classes: 100 BGN (50 Е)
In Baby, Puppy and Veteran classes: 80 BGN (40 Е)

A little more about our esteemed judge
Lorena Merati, owner of the affix “Samarcanda”, has been breeding Standard Poodles since 1983 and in the past she has bred Airedales, Fox Terriers and Lakeland Terriers.
The dogs she has bred have obtained many important awards throughout Europe and the USA, such as World and European champion titles, as well as winners of countless BIS.
Not least in importance is the success of two of her poodles: Samarcanda Born to be King the BOB and Samarcanda Italian Lover the CC and BOS at Crufts. Dogs of her breeding have twice won the “Cajelli” trophy for the best overall dog in Italy amongst all breeds, the only poodles in history to have achieved this result.
Her interest in everything that surrounds the world of dogs has always led her to delve into topics related to breeding and genetics, particularly those related to purebred dogs. Author of the books “Canis Lupus Barbone”, one of the most complete texts published on the breed, and “His Majesty the Standard Poodle”, a specific volume on the standard poodle. She also writes articles on dog breeds for various specialist magazines.
Lorena has been a member of the F.C.I. Grooming Commission for many years, and is now a judge of ENCI/FCI grooming competitions. She is also Vice president of the Groane Dog Group.
She is a renown international ENCI FCI judge for groups 1, 3, 4, 5, 9 part of 2 and Italian breeds, judged in almost all European countries.
An EGA (European Groomers Association) Judge for all breeds, she has judged national and international competitions and has held seminars on the grooming of poodles and other breeds.
